Getting to know India with its remarkable contrasts was a phenomenal experience for Svenja. She found an incredible variety of colors, aromas and fragrances, religious beliefs, Hindu castes, cultures and languages. Despite all these contrasts, most impressive for Svenja, was being able to feel the acceptance of the differences, the unity with the others and the peace between all.
The attempt to express and portray this in art started the UNITY series, in which Svenja connects different materials in one piece of jewelry, creating beauty and harmony.
